1/3 cup margarine or butter
1 tablespoon soy sauce
3/4 teaspoon chili powder
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon ground red pepper
3 cups bite-size corn-and-rice square cereal
1 3-ounce can chow mein noodles
1 cup peanuts
1 cup shelled raw pumpkin seeds
Mix margarine or butter, soy sauce, chiii powder, garlic powder, and red pepper in a small saucepan. Cook and stir until margarine or butter melts.
Mix cereal, chow mein noodles, peanuts and pumpkin seeds in a roasting pan. Drizzle margarine mixture over noodle mixture, toss.
Bake at 300 for 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes. Spread on foil to cool. Store in an airtight container.
Makes 12-15 servings.
