I make turtles almost every year for cookie trays but I have not tried this one
1 cup pecan halves
36 vanilla caramels
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
On a oiled baking sheet, arrange 5 pecans together to create turtle legs and head. Place one caramel in the center of each turtle. Repeat with remaining pecans and caramels. Bake at 325 degrees for 5 to 10 minutes, until caramels are soft. Remove from oven and flatten caramel centers with a spatula. Melt chocolate chips in a saucepan over low heat, spoon over caramel centers. Cool until set. Makes about 2 1/2 dozen
