Pillow from a dish towel

 Took maybe 25-30 minutes and most of that was trying to get it stuffed full enough and even.  Might have to look for a few more for gifts,,,,,,,,will see.  

Eternity Scarf gift

For a daughter, granddaughter, niece, neighbor, friend, co-worker, mail lady, beauty shop ladies, etc..... consider making an eternity scarf.  You could do one in fabric for all holidays or a fleece for winter.  I made this one a few yrs. ago before work one a.m. to have something to wear for 4th of July.

Christmas Coasters

I might have shared these in the past--not sure.

I had purchased a few star shaped boxes and I painted them gold and sponged some silver onto them and then I made 6 coasters to put into the box and gave as gifts.  I used the box as the template and cut out 2 pieces of fabric the same and a piece of batting and just sewed the edges .

Can you believe half of 2020 is over? ( Might be a good year to move along---considering everything)

Thought I would share this ideal with you.  I have been wanting to make these for gifts for a number of years and this year I got the fabric and also the towels to get started on several.  I think my family/friends will like these and get plenty of use from them. I am going to use a combination of 2 ways to do one.

It is a kitchen boa and several ways of making them are out there.



If you have cooking friends, they may like one too.

Doll Items

These are the doll items I made for my granddaughters 3rd birthday.  Hooded towels, washcloths, bibs, burp rags, taggie, diapers, wipes, changing pad and blanket that reverses and then the diaper bag.  It was fun.

Snowman Pillows and Teigan

I made the snowman pillows for a few co-workers and the girls at the beauty shop. In the past I have made them smaller for ornaments too.

Teigan opening some of her presents.  Last one is a camera, case and card from Uncle Ryan.  Minnie Bowtique and she just got a couple more.  LOL! Red tote is full of dress up items.

The first 2 are rug mats I made for Christmas.  Teigan help ironing with her iron.  The vest I made for Teigans Halloween costume.  Sheriff Callie.  Grandpa and Teigan with a kite and then Teigan helping dig peanuts.

Christmas 2016

This is a quilt top for one of my great nieces.  I will back it with a dark pink.  It has to be ironed and then pinned with the batting and all yet.  If you notice I messed up the purple corner blocks---should be on the green piece but.....I cut the green off and would have to block a piece of green in and then the purple so I think I am leaving it.  4 more of the jelly roll quilts to do and then 3 others for the boys.

Egg Shirt

I made this for Teigan.  Not perfect by far but with her moving around if she wears it---it will be fine.  The shirt itself has puckers at the top along neck.  Couldn't find a plain colored short sleeve shirt besides it.  Was going to ruffle the ribbon and sew it on but I wanted to see the ribbon colors so used decorative stitches. Got and egg template from internet and then sized it down.

I made Teigan a summer dress!

 

It was really hard too, (LOL)!  A narrow hem I did in pink to add color and a side seam.  I found this material at Joanns (as I was looking for something else) and she is into Tinkerbell at this time so it was a MUST.  We decided to try no straps but if we think differently later I will use some of the excess green material and make some.

A small blanket I did for Teigan for Valentine's Day.  Did a pillow case for a small pillow from the front material.

Shower Gifts

 

The first picture is of Teigan playing with play doh for the first time.  Grandpa and Uncle Ryan were helping.  Baby items were for a shower yesterday. Quilt, burp rags, wash cloths, a bib and 2 items to use when shutting the door.

Quilt for Teigans 2nd Birthday!!!

My husband and I made this for our granddaughters 2nd birthday.  My hubby did the cutting of the material.  Not perfect but .....

Pictures 1 and 3 are a couple more tops.  As you can see in the 1st top----I forgot to cut off the first 19" before starting---duh--this is the 5th one I have did and the 4th in less than a week.  When you cut it off the angles will be spread out more thru out the quilt. 

Teigan sleeping--took almost a 2 hour nap yesterday.

The back splash finally going up. The first picture the cabinet handle to far right will be the new ones.  Counters are to come tom. a.m. and be put on.  Purchased all back in October, but then they were behind, Allen go sick, the holidays so now moving on it.  My new stove is in too.

2 tops for Christmas 2016

These are 2 tops that I have started for Christmas.  They are done the jelly roll race style.  I will put a border around them yet.  Have 3 more to do of this style and then 3 blue jean squares for the boys.  They are to be for 2 nieces and 3 great nieces and then 1 nephew and 2 great nephews.  Lets see if I can keep ahead of the game!!!! Colors not planned this way--just the way they ended up.

My curtains have to be hemmed but waiting on a new curtain rod and have to stain the bay window area.  Found 1 rod I like but still looking.

This is a purse I did for Teigan for Christmas.  I had a pattern for one for an American Girl Doll and enlarged it from there.  I ended up having to top stitch around the top to fix the handle and side piece matching.  Will know if I make another one.  Denim is from one of my old skirts.

I took these to my nephew Jackson today on his 9th b'day.  They were actually to be for his 8th b'day but he just got around to telling me the material he wanted so he got extra today!

Mitering Tool

I saw this on a blog on Monday night--ordered one Tues. a.m. and got it yesterday.  I will never have to dread the corners again!!!

Pardon the chair.  The set is in my craft room and were my great grandparents.  Have to get them recovered.
