White Squrriels

Had 5 babies in yard in spring.  3 white and 2 gray.  They would eat out of the dog dish with the dog right there laying by them.

I think I finally got to where I can post pictures again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :)  Thanks to a co-worker!  She is really a sweet girl and was so patient with me!

This spring we had 5 baby squirrels in our Maple tree and 3 were white and 2 gray.  One of the white ones a cat got it, not sure about another but one is back and bury nuts like crazy.  They were so friendly and my daughter even touched them while eating.  Was so fun to watch.  The whites ones were the friendly ones and you could get so close to them.

Miscellaneous

The deer are growing.  Last week we thought the mommy deer got hit on the road, we saw the babies and there was a deer hit on road about 100 yards from our drive.  But she is okay. Picture taken from inside my front room and deer across the road.

Alittle Wildlife

The first 3 were taken on Thurs. the 14th but others were this a.m..  All out of my bay window in front room.  The deer and her twins have been coming out in the mornings across the road.  The babies went by the road today but momma went down the dirt road after awhile and then followed.

Spring Blooms Starting

The last week or so has been bringing plants to start greening up.  The forsythia (I know that spelling I butchered it) bush is big with only these blooms so far.  Some daylilies starting up, Easter lilies got froze but some are still blooming.  Last picture is the lilac bush.  I brought a start of this from my MIL's when she died back in '95 and it has years that it blooms and some not.  Lost the middle part of it.

Baby Chicks

I was on computer this a.m. when Teigan woke up and she was saying silly baby chickens.  They were peeping and peeping.
Seagulls in the field across the road this a.m. from the front room window.  Picture didn't get them while sitting still and field was almost solid.

Snow Day

I live in Southern Il and we are having snow today.  We have about 5" if not alittle more.  The birds were flocking to the feeders.  The squirrel didn't mind being out either.

Early 5-19-15 a.m.

 

I went outside about 5:30 a.m. to water some plants, fill the humming bird feeder, the bird bath, take trash out and I thought the sun coming up was so pretty.  Then I looked at our fish (pardon me frog pond--we have to redo) and I saw the zillion tadpoles all on top.  Have been watching them with Teigan.  Amazed how many there are.

My Sat. 2-21

First 3 pictures are taken from dining room towards back yard, next 2 from front room the front yard and then I thought after I made a hooded towel that I would try a couple new recipes. 

The first is Red Velvet Fudge Pie.  The recipe makes 2 so going to take some to my great aunt, mom and neighbor.  Jaymee took a couple pieces home.  Now I have cinnamon rolls rising to bake and will also share them.  I didn't taste the pie.

Look who started pulling themselves up yesterday!  Getting to be such a big girl!  Will be 8 months the 25th.   Sunrise this a.m..

 

Toad House?

Allen noticed this toad when he was outside earlier.  It is in the crack of a tree stump.  Then at dark he was in front of the garage waiting for bugs by the light.  Will have to watch for it and see if it stays there.
