6-ounce package semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup sugar
3 tablespoons corn syrup
1/2 cup orange juice
2 1/2 cups vanilla wafers, crushed
1 cup chopped nuts
Assortment of colored sugars for garnish, if desired.
Combine chocolate chips, sugar and corn syrup in a heavy saucepan. Stir until chocolate is melted. Remove from heat, stir in orange juice. Add vanilla wafer crumbs and nuts, mix well. Chill until firm. Form dough into 1" balls. Roll in colored sugar if desired. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 to 4 weeks.
Makes about 1 pound
