2 cups butter
2 cups sugar
1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons water
12 1.05-oz milk chocolate candy bars
3 cups chopped pecans
Combine butter, sugar, and water in a dutch oven, heating until mixture gets to the hard crack stage. (300 degrees on a candy thermometer) Remove form heat and pout into 2 buttered 12" pizza pans, spreading to the edge. Melt chocolate in a double boiler, spread over brittle and sprinkle with pecans. let it cool then break it into pieces. Makes approximately 4 pounds.
