O'Henry Bars
My family love this recipe
4 cups quick oats
1 cup light brown sugar packed
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup Karo light corn syrup
3/4 cup butter, melted
2 teaspoons vanilla
1/2 cup chunky peanut butter
Heat oven to 350
Mix all of the above ingredients together and then press into a buttered 9X13" baking dish.
Topping:
2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips
3/4 cup chunky peanut butter
Combine chips and peanut butter in saucepan, stir on low heat until melted and then spread over bars. Cool to room temperature before cutting into bars. I let them cool to warm before frosting and then at times I put them in the fridge to set.
