Different times I have made this up and put in containers for gifts.
Large roaster put 5 or 6 quarts of popped popcorn.
In a pot prepare:
2 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup white corn syrup
1/2 lb butter or oleo
Boil 5 minutes and take from heat. Add:
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
Blend and pour over popcorn mixing well. Bake at 250 for 40 minutes stirring occasionally. Spread on wax paper to cool.
The recipe doesn't call for peanuts but I usually add some in with the popcorn.
