Green Bean Casserole

2 cans green beans, drained  (I use french style)
2 cups cooked rice
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can onion rings
1 cup milk
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper

Mix all ingredients together and put into a casserole dish.  Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees.

People always seem to comment on it when I take it places liking the rice in it and that the onion rings are stirred up into it and not just on top.  Found it in a church cookbook years ago.

There are so many green bean casserole recipes out there but this is the first one I've seen with rice. Makes it more of a meal than just a side dish.

I love green bean casserole! This is the first time I've seen one with rice, I'll have to try it. My recipe calls for bean sprouts and water chestnuts... there are so many different varieties and they all sound good to me.
