2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
8 ounce package white chocolate ships
1/2 cup peppermint candies crushed
Combine flour and salt then set aside. Blend together butter and sugar, beat in egg and extracts. Mix into flour mixture on low speed. Wrap dough in plastic wrap and chill for 1 hour.
Roll dough into walnut size balls and place on lightly greased baking sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Cool. Melt white chocolate chips in a double boiler. Dip the cooled cookies into melted chocolate then roll into the crushed peppermint candies. Set on wax paper to harden. Makes about 4 dozen.
