I have these made for a swap. I received one a few years back when I was in a snowman swap. I think this will be the ornament that I do for co-workers this year.
Made from batting. There is a piece of cardboard inside.

These are adorable! I bet you could whip up a batch of these in no time! I have a small snowman tree in the guest bath that I need to add to. These would be great. Lord knows I have enough scrap batting and homespun!
