Good Apple Kuchen
I ran across this recipe yesterday a.m. in my Aunt Bee's Dessert Cookbook.
I made it yesterday afternoon.
Good Apple Kuchen
3/4 cup margarine
1 box yellow cake mix
1 20-ounce can apple pie filling (I used 2 because 1 only covered about half of cake)
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup sour cream
2 egg yolks
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut margarine into dry cake mix until crumbly. Pat mixture into an ungreased 13X9" pan, building sides up slightly. Bake for 10 minutes. Arrange pie filling on warm crust. Mix sugar and cinnamon sprinkle on apples. Blend sour cream and egg yolks, drizzle over. Bake for 25 minutes.
Serves 12-15

White Squrriels
Had 5 babies in yard in spring. 3 white and 2 gray. They would eat out of the dog dish with the dog right there laying by them.
Teigan
WE started picking pumpkins this past Saturday (9-16) and Teigan helped with the little ones. Have to pick the bigger ones yet.
White Squrriel
I think I finally got to where I can post pictures again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :) Thanks to a co-worker! She is really a sweet girl and was so patient with me!
This spring we had 5 baby squirrels in our Maple tree and 3 were white and 2 gray. One of the white ones a cat got it, not sure about another but one is back and bury nuts like crazy. They were so friendly and my daughter even touched them while eating. Was so fun to watch. The whites ones were the friendly ones and you could get so close to them.

Summer Punch (AKA my Christmas Punch)
I have probably posted this before on my blog somewhere but will share again because it is worth it!
We usually try to make it up 3-5 days before when it will be served. We put the batches in gallon size bags and freeze. I have been making this since back in the early 2000's and is all I serve on Christmas Eve. Also I have only used the cherry but they say you can use other flavors. It is a slush punch.
1 3 0z. cherry gelatin
1 cup boiling water
1 46 oz. can unsweetened pineapple juice
1 1/2 cup sugar
4 cups cold water
2 quarts ginger ale chilled when serving.
Dissolve gelatin into 1 cup boiling water. Add pineapple juice, sugar, cold water and stir well. Freeze.
Set out 2 hours before serving. Break into chunks. Pour ginger ale over it. Sometimes I get it out when ready to use and have to use a knife to break it up.
For about 19 people I do 3 batches and that is using red solo cups. If any is left over people like to drink it,
