Teigan
Not exactly sure why the look on picture 1. Maybe cuz I asked her to smile. The second picture was taken first and she saw the camera and said smile picture. She was helping to put the tree up.
Here is a recipe that some of my family enjoy yearly at Christmas time. I have never tried them but several of them LOVE them. I found it years ago in a Country Woman Christmas hardback and my husband has made them ever since.
Snappy Horseradish Dill Pickles
1 jar (32 oz) whole dill pickles (we buy spears usually now)
1/3 cup prepared horseradish
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup cider vinegar
Drain and discard juice from pickles. Slice pickles into spears and return to jar. Add the horseradish. In a saucepan bring the sugar, water and vinegar to a boil. Remove from the heat and cool slightly. Pour over pickles. Cool completely. Cover jar and shake. Refrigerate for at least 8 hours or overnight.
Yield: 1 quart

Christmas 2016
This is a quilt top for one of my great nieces. I will back it with a dark pink. It has to be ironed and then pinned with the batting and all yet. If you notice I messed up the purple corner blocks---should be on the green piece but.....I cut the green off and would have to block a piece of green in and then the purple so I think I am leaving it. 4 more of the jelly roll quilts to do and then 3 others for the boys.

Gifts from a Friend that I met thru the blogging world.....
Several years back we I started looking at blogs and started mine I met Cindy thru hers. We have became friends and I received these 2 lovely items in the mail. I LOVE the tote and it will be handy to take projects to work in so I work on them at lunch. The sewing is outstanding on it....NICE big compartments in the middle and a huge zipper area. LOVE IT!!! She also did a very pretty notebook cover and it will go in my sewing room to list the projects I have made.
