Our eggs

The first 2 pictures are of 4 Killdeer eggs that were laid out in the rocks. We have put a cone there and also a container of water. This is going on the 3rd week so hoping they start to hatch.

Last is of a rainbow that I saw this a.m. when going to work.

Isn't it amazing how Killdeer lay their eggs on the ground and so many of them manage to survive? Those eggs are pretty camouflaged, though. We have them here in Ohio, too, and I always get a chuckle when I see them running around on the ground. And what a pretty rainbow...haven't seen one in a long time! Thanks for sharing, Lana!

XOXO,
