Happy Thanksgiving!

I would like to wish all of you and your families a "HAPPY THANKSGIVING". May the Lord blessings continue to be with you. Be safe if having to travel.

Some more glitter ornaments

I did several of the ones that look like snowballs and then tried a few more colors.
The green turned out pretty bright. I am probably partial to the blue tho.

More ideals that I purchased

Went to a small craft show for the hospital and purchased these items. Have some new ideals to try, probably for next year.

Teacup Candles

The top picture I used this cup twice. It was dishes from my moms mom so made my mom and younger sister one from those and then the bottom is a cup from my dads mom and used 1 of hers for my older sister. They have matching saucers to go with them.

These are pieces of the quilts from my grandparents that I found out in a trunk when they passed away it '05. I washed them up back then and have pieces. 2 different styles. Hoping to frame some pieces and then make some stuffed ornaments out of pieces. Hopefully for Christmas 2009!

My grandparents

These are the pictures of my loving grandparents! The first picture was taken when they got married on November 7, 1932 and the last picture was taken at my younger sisters wedding in May 2002. They died in 2005, 14 weeks apart and were married almost 72 years. G'ma always told me how she didn't get her first wedding ring (a band) until spring. Years later she got a silver band with just a few tiny diamonds in it. They were 92 and 93. (1912) Grandpa still drove every day to see her in the nursing home and to feed her. He was lost when he put her in. He took care of her at home for a few years but was to hard on him. He still did his own laundry, mowing and cooking.

I was very close to my grandpa and grandma Schubach. My older sister and I lived with them and my dad until I was in 3rd. Left for a short time in there when dad remarried a second time but then in 3rd grade he married again (3rd time and I call her mom). My grandparents taught me alot about life, such as honesty, how to respect others, the importance of family and a good marriage and also the blessing of getting to know the Father and how important it is to have him in your life.

Grandpa and Grandma, I miss you terribly but will see you again. Love yous!

Ornaments in the making

Should be finishing up ornaments for a swap but wanted to try this one! Using the glass ball and then some people or pouring in the Future floor polish and rotating it around and draining it out and then you put in your glitter and roll it around and pour out excess. Others were using the spray adhesive and I used clear acrylic sealer. I have used the regular glitter and then the fine glitter.
The one that I am holding seperate I put in the mica snow and then some of the fine glitter. That is the favorite of DH, DD and myself. DS hasn't been home long enough to see them.
Not sure if I will finish them out with a bow or just ribbon.

Halloween Babies

Our outside cat (she is calico) had 2 babies. We fixed her a box up on Friday night and Saturday a.m. they were there. One of them has brown on the butt and above its eyes and I think a spot on its head. That was my sons birthday also.
