Cucumbers

I received this recipe back in '02 from a lady and my family loves them.

7 unpeeled cucumbers (I peel mine)
1 cup sliced onions
1 cup chopped green peppers (optional)

Place in a large bowl in layers. Scatter salt on top and let set 2 hours.

Do Not Drain!

Combine 1 cup vinegar, 2 cups sugar, and 1 tablespoon celery seed (optional--I don't use it often) and stir thoroughly. Let stand in the refrigerator.

Garlic

My son dug our garlic bulbs. The picture really doesn't show their size. They are huge!

Our first pickings

Last night we picked 2 zucchinis and did the 1 pint of sandwich slices and a quart of pickles. (dill)

Finds

Paper towel holder from Goodwill for $1.50. Have been wanting one and the metal one I looked at Friday at a store was $19. 2 fat quarters from Big Lots

Big Lots Find

Over on another board I go to they were talking about Big Lots having material. I finally got there and my store had fat quarters at $1.00 each (found 2 I liked) and then they had this material 2 prints together for 2 yards for $6.00. Was hoping to find some jelly rolls but didn't. Now to find 2 more materials to match these for some 12 Days of Christmas swaps for a project.

My husband was walking the pasture yesterday checking the fence and came upon the fawn. Mama was nearby watching.

Fleece baby blanket

My sons friend is having a baby and we did this for their shower today. She is doing elephants but I just couldn't find plain elephant material that was cute.
