Miscellaneous

Top picture is my great aunt with her great great great niece.

Other ones are pictures I took coming home yesterday.  We have had snow and frozen ground and Tues. got to 69 so the snow was melting and no place to go.  To have thunderstroms tonight thru tom..  Ditches are full, ponds full and creeks are a rolling.  Next week cold again and more snow to come they say.

Couple miscellanous and then sewn items

Teigan on Valentines Day.  Pickles has kinda decided the port a crib makes a nice bed.  I haven't washed the sheets up yet for the bed.  She is laying on the plastic that is over the mattress.

Last couple pictures is of birthday presents I made last night.  I did finish the purse up this a.m..
A reversible headband, 2 book markers and a Japanese Knot Bag that is reversible. I really enjoyed making all these items. Fast cute and easy.  The bag I am not sure about the handles how I closed them but it looks fine. My nieces 11th birthday party is today.

Another Gift

I took pictures of it and then took them to Jaymees house and later found out that the pictures from that day didn't take. :(  :(  :(

I received the cutest little (mini) medicine bottle and then 2 nipples that you can put onto a water bottle and turn them into a bottle. Very cool!  Jaymee had seen them somewhere but  hadn't looked for them yet.

Thank you!

Macaroni Mountain

I am not a macaroni salad fan--but I know this recipe keeps showing up at places.

1 lb. pkg. elbow macaroni cooked
1 green pepper, chopped
1 sweet onion chopped
1 1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 Tablespoons mustard
1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Place macaroni in a big mixing bowl.  Add in all other ingredients.  Chill overnight. Serves 12.

Squash Casserole

1 medium sliced squash (I use zucchini and peel it)
1 medium onion diced
1 beaten egg
cracker crumbs
grated sharp cheddar cheese

Cook onion and squash together until barely tender.  Add salt and pepper to taste.  Let cool slightly then mix in egg and cracker crumbs. (crumbs are a judgement call-I think it depends on water content of squash too)  If mixture is to soupy add in some more crumbs.  Put half the mixture into a greased casserole dish and sprinkle liberally with grated cheese.  Repeat layers. Bake at 350 degrees or until lightly brown.  About 30-35 minutes.  Can be microwaved to for about 12 minutes in mine.

Guess with all this cold, ice and snow I am thinking gardening.

The first 4 were a few taken by a photographer yesterday. And the other 2 were a couple taken at the hospital.

I love the first one with Jaymee and Teigan.

Time flies

A week old today. About 2 or 3 times a day she stays awake for about and hour and just studies your face and the shadows.

Great Friends

Here are a couple items I have received in honor of my granddaughter Teigan .  I would like to thank my on line friends VERY much for them.  The glass container from the flowers I will save and put little things in it for her. The hat has a detachable bow. It is so cute,
